This former hair salon space is being completely gutted and redesigned, and will be transformed into a classic pizzeria. The owner's selected the name Balbo's to honor the first ever pizzeria that was established in Hoboken. To honor that name and the "old style" we used a lot of subway tile and small mossaics on the floor. Further adding older light fixtures with edison bulbs and a new tin ceiling.

Originally the Hamilton Ale House, this restaurant/bar had been neglected for a number of years. We worked with the new owner on creative design ideas within a tight budget to restore the historical bar to its former glory, and add some new design elements that will make this establishment a great place to be for years to come. Full gut renovation (minus the kitchen) of a coop apartment in the Gramercy Park area of Manhattan. We removed all the old parquet flooring, cut new door openings for both the master bed and bath and then reassembled the entire apartment.

We converted the old Calco Chemical Co. (built 1915) from a vacant, deteriorated, 3 story warehouse to a fully restored warehouse structure with a 2 story contemporary addition. We completed all necessary structural work in house, as well as all rough framing. We were the Developer, GC & CM and Interior Designers for this project. Here, we removed an existing roof deck over an existing garage. We then dug footings in front of the garage and built a 2 story addition, which included the garage and open area which used to be the roof deck. The addition added 2 more bedrooms, a sleeping nook, 1 additional full bath, reading room, laundry room and both a deck off the master suite and roof deck with both ocean and bay views. Lastly, we built a bocce court in the rear yard.

Converted a vacant 5 unit apartment building into a fully restored 5 unit condo building. We moved the main entrance of the building from the rear section up into the middle of the structure to accommodate more useful floorplans, as opposed to the old railroad style apartments that this area is known for. The interior was outfitted with Italian kitchens, tumbled marble baths and a full appliance package including central heat and A/C through exposed spiral duct.

Our first project in Hoboken. We converted this old 4 family brownstone into a 4 unit condo building. We restored the exterior of the building to its original state, which included replacing the steps and reopening the original second floor entrance. The interior was outfitted with Italian kitchens, tumbled marble baths and a full appliance package including central heat and A/C through exposed spiral duct.

This project was a CM and Interior Design project. We managed the project from the US with 4 trips to Florence throughout the process. We worked closely with our architect in Florence and communicated daily on progress, budgets and design. This project was a gut renovation within an existing building built in the 1400's.
